Statement of Quality Policy

It is the policy of Clifton Steel Limited to supply products to our customers to the highest standards of Quality, Reliability and Delivery Performance that are consistent with profitable trading.
All employees are committed to this policy and adhere to the procedures of our Quality System, which is certified by Lloyds Register, to meet the International Quality Management System Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2001. Included in this standard is a requirement for continual improvment, and the effectiveness of the Quality System.
Overall responsibility for the quality of products and service delivered lies with the Managing Director. Day to day responsibility for detailed quality matters and the administration of the Quality System is delegated to the Quality Manager, who is appointed as the Management Representative.

Quality ISO 9001:2000

Clifton Steel is an ISO registered company. In October 2002, we gained accreditation from Lloyds Register Assessors for the latest ISO standard, ISO 9001:2000. We were successfully audited for this prestigious Quality Award with no minor or major non-conformances.

We have two Manuals in place.

The first is the Quality Manual: this includes a description of the business, the Scope of the Quality Management System, Mission Statements and Objectives.

The second is the Procedures Manual: this includes in depth descriptions of each role within the company, a comprehensive look at how specific jobs are done, Management Commitment and Planning.

We believe that this recognition in terms of Quality Managment Systems is very important to us and to our customers. It shows that we can meet and also surpass the requirements of our customers, and maintain the position of:

Providing a quality product, service and delivery as standard, and not an aim for the future.
